On June 6, Per Stålnacke held a guest lecture at Institute for Technology and Resources Management in the Tropics and Subtropics (ITT) at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences http://www.tt.fh-koeln.de/institute/. Students and scientists from ITT followed the lecture. Besides talking about nutrient loads in Northern Europe, Per Stålnacke with examples from the STRIVER and LAGOONS projects show-cased how these projects with an integrated multi-disciplinary approach tries to improve the management of waters and the environment.
As part of the cooperation between ARCH and LAGOONS projects, the coordinators Ana Lillebø (UAVR) and Per Stålnacke (BIioforsk) together with the Polish team members Malgorzata Bielecka (IBW-PAN), Grzegorz Różyński (IBW-PAN) and Piotr Margoński (SFI) participated in ARCH consortium meeting that was held in Gdansk, 27-29 May 2013.The scope of cooperation between LAGOONS and ARCH covers the organization of joint stakeholders meetings/workshops, as well as information exchange on documents, research and deliverables provided by both projects with respect to the Vistula Lagoon case study.
LAGOONS will be included in a catalogue on the FP7 projects on climate change, which aims at disseminating a lively picture of key European research projects on climate change that have received FP7 funding. Organized by the European Commission and the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) and co-sponsored by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the event will be held in Brussels from 4-7 November 2013.
